Join us for an evening of classical guitar music with Romanian-born Flavius Wagner in his NYC debut! Flavius is among the most promising young guitarists in Europe. His playing combines technical precision, emotional depth and natural stage presence. Both as a soloist and in chamber music, he captivates audiences with clarity, balance and musical intelligence.
This concert is part of 2026 "Artists to Watch," a concert series showcasing rising stars of the classical guitar. The series features local and international artists, and several NYC debuts.

About Flavius Wagner
Flavius Wagner is a German classical guitarist known for his expressive sound, musicality and technique. He’s currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Stuttgart under the baton of Prof. Johannes Monno.
As an internationally celebrated soloist, Flavius regularly performs all across the globe. His concert tours have taken him around Europe, Canada, and the USA. Besides his solo career, he is also passionate about chamber music, playing in various ensembles—from guitar quartets to duos with violin or vocals.
He has achieved numerous successes in national and international competitions, establishing a strong reputation. He’s been awarded with second prize at the Dallas International Guitar Competition 2025, as well as first prizes at the UF Guitar Festival Gainesville, the Chicago Guitar competition and the Aalborg guitar competition.
Flavius conducts masterclasses at international renown festivals, and works as an instructor for the Baden-Württemberg State Music Council. He is actively involved in music education through various courses and initiatives supported by the State Music Council. Additionally he’s sponsored and artist for the string manufacturer D’Addario and playing an instrument by the Australian luthier Kim Lissarrague.
