Get ready for a spellbinding crossover experience with Davóne Tines & Ruckus — a concert that defies genre boundaries and invites you on a musical journey through centuries of American sound. Bass-baritone Davóne Tines, hailed as “changing what it means to be a classical singer” (The New Yorker), joins Ruckus, described as “the world’s only period-instrument rock band” (San Francisco Classical Voice), for a high-energy program that reimagines songs, hymns, ballads, and instrumental works from the Baroque era to the present day. From Stephen Foster’s Beautiful Dreamer and Handel’s Air and Allegro to Julius Eastman’s Buddha, Sam Cooke’s A Change Is Gonna Come, and original pieces by Tines and collaborators, this performance blends early music, roots grooves, and contemporary commentary in riveting, unexpected ways.

Thanks to Groupmuse Nights Out, discounted tickets are available for Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 7:30 PM at Herbst Theatre, making it easier to experience this bold and deeply engaging musical event live. We’re excited to help bring our community closer to performances that spark curiosity, connection, and fresh perspectives — don’t miss your chance to secure special-price tickets for an evening that fuses history, groove, and artistry!

Children 5 and over are welcomed.
