🥧 🥁 🎷 Third Ave Jazz, Celebrating Black History Month & APPLE PIE

On Tuesday, February 24th, Sankofa Haus becomes a portal — a living, breathing reminder that jazz has always been more than music. It’s movement. It’s storytelling. It’s freedom. And right now, across the South Bronx, Jazz is finding its voice again: in new rooms, new audiences, and new rhythms that honor the past while speaking boldly to the present.

Leading this Black History Month edition of Third Ave Jazz is Adriel Vincent-Brown — a Trinidadian-born drummer, composer, and bandleader based in New York City. Vincent-Brown curates the evening through Jazz & Apple Pie, a multidisciplinary creative company curating experiences where live music, movement, visual art, and wellness meet. He also leads this month's featured musical guest, jazz ensemble AVTheForce Known for his dynamic fusion of jazz, gospel, and hip-hop, and Caribbean rhythms, Vincent-Brown represents exactly what this resurgence is about: honoring tradition while expanding the sound forward.

This will be an IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE with projection mapping transforming our walls. Sankofa Haus is proud to host this moment in the South Bronx — because music and art don’t just reflect culture… they shape it.
