What's the music?
Traditional Jugalbundi with Sitar, Sarod and Tabla.
Where does this music come from?
This will be a traditional concert of Hindustani Raga in the form of Jugalbudi.
Our teachers, Ustad Ali Akbar Khan (sarod) and Pandit Ravi Shankar (sitar) popularized the Jugalbandi (duet) partnership starting in the late 1930s, rooted in their shared training under guru Baba Allauddin Khan in Maihar. Their collaborative performances blended technical brilliance, deeply compatible styles, and profound understanding, popularizing Jugalbundi as a cornerstone of Hindustani classical music.
