Join us for a small, informal evening of live piano in the living room of a historic Victorian home "Agape" in San Francisco’s Mission District. Pianist Ian Scarfe brings his wide-ranging artistry and relaxed performance style to an intimate solo program. Ian has played over 100 Groupmuses and especially loves the house-concert format, where thoughtful, expressive piano music meets a casual, welcoming atmosphere. Ian actually played his very first Groupmuse at Agape and is excited to return to the same living room after all these years!
Hosted at Agape, a long-running cooperative home, this gathering is as much about community as it is about music. With around 30 guests, you’ll hear the piano up close in a comfortable, sweet, beautiful, community space.
Doors open at 2pm, with music from 2:30-4pm with a brief intermission. Come as you are, grab a seat on a couch or the floor, and enjoy a relaxed night of live music with your neighbors. Light refreshments will be available, and we may ask you to remove your shoes at the door to help keep the space cozy.
