Led by founder and artistic director Karén Hakobyan, this program is less a standard concert and more a sweeping story—tracing Armenian musical identity across generations through bold premieres, rediscovered gems, and electrifying orchestral color.

The evening unfolds from the intimacy of the human voice—featuring soprano Tatev Baroyan in works by Komitas Vardapet and Hakobyan’s own Vocalise—to the dramatic scale of concerto showpieces, including the New York premiere of Arno Babadjanian’s Cello Concerto with Suren Bagratuni. After intermission, the spotlight shifts to violinist Ruggero Allifranchini in another premiere, before the concert erupts into the vivid, rhythm-charged world of Aram Khachaturian’s dance music.
