Host

Elise M. Superhost

We are thrilled to welcome guitarist John W. Warren to Chez Elise for a special World Cup edition. Warren performs Latin Classical Psychedelic—a genre he coined—rhythmic and melodic music from Brazil, Latin America, and Spain; classic instrumentals from the 1960s; originals; and instrumental arrangements of contemporary music.

Chez Elise Sunday Soiree series is a monthly event to celebrate the arts, culture and community.

Each Second Sunday of the month, Chez Elise hosts different performance artists, visual artists, and culinary artists to showcase a Sunday afternoon soiree worthy of the stars.

Come for the art, come for the creativity, come for the expression,
Come for laughter, come for community, come for care,
Come dressed to kill,
Come dressed for comfort,
Come hungry in your bellies,
Come hungry in your hearts,
Come open,
Come curious,
Come alone,
Come with friends,
Come to make new ones,
Come!

Where does this music come from?

I perform on classical, acoustic, and electric guitar, in a style I call Latin Classical Psychedelic: rhythmic and melodic music from Brazil, Cuba, Latin America, and Spain; original compositions; classic instrumentals from the 1960s; and original instrumental arrangements of contemporary music. I seamlessly blend Cuban boleros, Brazilian bossa nova and afro sambas, classics from the 60s, instrumental arrangements of Nick Drake, Massive Attack, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, and others.
