Please join me in welcoming this wonderful duo with cellist, Vicky Ehrlich and pianist, Ava Soifer. They will be performing selections from L’Histoire du Tango by Piazzolla including Bordel, Café, & Nightclub plus Libertango, Butcher’s Dance, & Una Cabeza. Also swinging out of Argentina across the ocean to Spain with composer Manuel de Falla and a transcription of his song cycle El Pano Moruno. Darcy Reynolds, our own Bay Area composer brings more vibrant dance energy with Jardin Cubana inspired by rhythms from that island…not to be missed program that will have your toes tapping and maybe inspire a a few to jump up and dance a Tango. Vicky and Ava have been performing chamber music off and on, together since 2008. They currently work closely together on the board of Music On the Hill to select and present talented local chamber ensembles in concert.
