Get ready for an evening of bold, boundary-pushing music with the SF Contemporary Players at Brava Theater. Bay Bridges brings together five distinctive works that explore movement, transformation, memory, and connection—from Shuying Li’s vivid Migration and Matthew Evan Taylor’s restless Pursuit to Inés Thiebaut’s atmospheric apeiron, Michael Gilbertson’s delicate Breath and Shadow, and Darius Milhaud'’s colorful Stanford Serenade, featuring SF Contemporary Players oboist Kyle Bruckmann. With West Coast premieres and a program spanning acoustic instruments, live electronics, improvisation, and more, this is a chance to experience the Bay Area’s adventurous contemporary music scene all in one night.
Join us at Brava Theater on Saturday, October 3 for an evening that begins with a 6:45 PM “Under the Hood” pre-concert discussion with Artistic Director Eric Dudley, followed by the 7:30 PM performance and a complimentary reception following the concert. 🎟️ Tickets are normally $40, but through Groupmuse Nights Out you can get them for just $15! Come hear what’s happening at the cutting edge of contemporary music—and do it for more than 60% off.
