This is a groupmuse

A live concert in a living room, backyard, or another intimate space. They're casual and friendly, hosted by community members.

In 1915, the State of Utah executed Joe Hill by firing squad for a crime he didn't commit. He was famous the world over as the greatest song-maker in the history of organized labor and the bosses and the politicians wanted their revenge.

Some 20,000 people showed up to his funeral in Chicago. Without Joe Hill, there's no Woody Guthrie and without Woody, there's no Bob Dylan. And yet, the great Joe Hill and his incredible story have been lost down the memory hole. Well, Heavy Meadow and Chappy Milkshake are here to bring him back.

It'll be an evening of Joe Hill songs, original songs that sing Joe Hill's tale, and good old-fashioned story telling. We can't wait to see you there.

Heavy Meadow is the founder of Groupmuse and an eco-spiritual bard. He's been taking around Joe's story for over three years now.

Chappy Milkshake is one of the finest vibraphone players of his generation and a bonafide social media sensation.

Together, the two of them are Brotherman and they're making about a documentary about their quest to tell Joe's tale -- you can learn more here.
