Come celebrate Palaver's Somerville premier with an evening of Romantic music, hot food and drink, and neato friends, co-hosted by Groupmuse :) After the show, we will be hosting a OPEN JAM SESSION where anyone can join in music-making and fun-having, so bring your instrument or voice or whatever you like to make sound with.
Program:
Antonin Dvorak: American Quartet
Pyotr Ilych Tchaikowsky: Souvenir de Florence, mvnt. 1
Pietro Mascagni: Cavalleria rusticana - Intermezzo
Jam session.
PARKING: Our neighborhood is unfortunately permit parking only, so the best options are at the Granoff Music Center at Tufts University (http://as.tufts.edu/music/musiccenter/visit/parking.htm) or Davis Square. Granoff is closer, although technically you could get ticketed if not attending a Tufts event.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: We are a 5-10 minute walk from the Davis Square MBTA station, on the Red Line.
Also, we have unfortunately had to slightly reduce the size of the groupmuse due to space issues, so if you were one of the last 5 people who signed up, we are really really sorry. We'll be having another concert next month, so check back then!
