Please join me for this fun and inspiring Piano/Mandolin performance, with a few surprises! We always do a little potluck wine/dessert/appetizer/snacks so please bring a beverage or yummy finger food to share. And of course, so money for the musicians! We suggest $20.

Artist Bios:

David Miller is a Denver based actor/mandolinist and has been in numerous productions at various Colorado theaters in the past five years. He holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia where he studied acting, voice and dance, developing his mandolin skills along the way.

David comes from a musical family and first began learning piano from an early age. He picked up the mandolin later in his teens after finding a passion for the bluegrass style in the music of Doc Watson, Hot Rise and The Infamous String Dusters as well as many others.

David also began training as a tap dancer in high school and has continued to learn and perform what he considers to be his favorite dance style in shows such as Singing In the Rain, A Chorus Line, White Christmas and Lyle the Crocodile.

David believes that art is a purely emotional experience and strives to highlight and share the emotional journey in every piece that he performs, both musically and dramatically.

Concert pianist and vocalist Jerimiah Owens has quickly gained much respect in the arts community in both Denver and New York City. Jerimiah Owens was born into a family of musicians and began performing as a vocalist at age 5.

Although Owens began studying the piano at the unusually late age of 15, he has managed to develop his piano career unaffected. In addition to performing in master classes with Olga Kern, Andrew Cooperstock and William Goldstein, Mr. Owens' Colorado piano performance credits include recitals given at Schmitt Hall, Onofrio Hall, Trinity Church, DSA Concert Hall, The Broadmoore Hotel, and Lamont School of Music. He also performs several home concerts per year with various chamber musicians. His former instructors include Angelina Gadeliya, alumni of The Juilliard School, currently in residence at Carnegie Hall with the chamber group "Decoda" and Artur Stoyanov, former faculty member of Moscow State Conservatory.

Coming from a family of both professional and amateur vocalists, Owens began performing in 2000 in productions such as Beauty and the Beast, Oklahoma!, Annie, Guys and Dolls, The King and I, and Fiddler on the Roof. Jerimiah joined the a capella group Vocality Singers in 2014. His former voice teachers include Dana Vachharajani, alumni of The Juilliard School and Cody Qualls of "FACE" vocal band.

Jerimiah Owens made his conducting debut with the orchestra of Expositions Theatrical Arts Company in Denver and their production of "CARRIE: The Musical" in 2013. After a successful run, he was invited back to conduct the orchestra of the company's summer production of the Broadway hit "CHICAGO".

Jerimiah has performed most recently as a jazz singer in one of New York City's oldest speakeasy jazz clubs "The Backroom" with Svetlana and the Delancey 5. He has also enjoyed many successful performances as a swing dancer at venues such as NYU and Lincoln Center in NYC, The Stotebury Mansion in Philadelphia, and The Mercury Cafe in Denver.

In 2015, Jerimiah formed a duo with Ukrainian violinist Anton Smirnov. They have recently returned from a 4 night engagement in San Francisco and have been invited back for a second set of concerts in the coming months.

Owens will appear as soloist with the Littleton Symphony Orchestra performing Rachmaninoff's second piano concerto in April 2016.

After graduating from Denver School of the Arts with a focus in piano performance and a minor in operatic and jazz vocal performance, Jerimiah Owens opened piano and voice studios in both Lakewood and Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is passionate about instilling the art of voice and piano into youth and adult learners
