Host

Hello,

I am excited to host 2 wonderful musicians in my home for an intimate classical concert. Here are the Details!

Los Angeles guitarist Aaron Medina and pianist Jerimiah Owens collaborate to bring you an evening of Spanish, Latin, and Romantic music. This program features works of Tarrega, Merlin, Umiliani, Moszkowski and Chopin. Bring your friends and enjoy the sounds of these great musicians!

This concert is presented through Groupmuse-a platform enabling communities to come together around great art; an online social network that connects young classical musicians to local audiences through concert house parties. Share the great masterpieces of music with old and new friends — in your living room and throughout your city.

There is a donation cover of $10 per person that goes directly to the musicians, but of course, you're always welcome to kick in more! Support these fantastic artists!

ARTIST BIOS
Aaron Medina is a professional guitarist who has already enjoyed an especially diverse musical background for his young age. Aaron studied Classical Guitar Performance at the distinguished Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver under the acclaimed performer and pedagogue Ricardo Iznaola. During his third year of undergraduate work, Aaron Medina studied guitar and Musicology in Milan, Italy with world renowned composer Simone Fontanelli. After graduation he went on to earn his Master of Music in Classical Guitar Performance (grad. 2014) but not before some concertizing at venues like the Humphrey History Park and Museum, as well as performing and teaching master classes at educational institutions like Red Rocks Community College. Aaron now lives in Los Angeles where he is ardently pursuing rock music as a guitarist and vocalist. Along with studio and live session work, Aaron teaches privately for guitar, voice, percussion, and piano both in person, and via Skype. Aaron is also performing guitar and vocals in a Los Angeles-based pop-rock band called Romance & Rebellion. After releasing their debut EP in June, the band is planning a US tour later in 2016.

Concert pianist Jerimiah Owens has gained much renown in the communities of Denver, San Francisco and New York City. Jerimiah Owens was born into a family of musicians and began performing at age 5. In addition to performing in master classes with Olga Kern, Andrew Cooperstock and William Goldstein, Mr. Owens has performed at such venues as Schmitt Hall, Onofrio Hall, Trinity Church, DSA Concert Hall, The Broadmoor Hotel, and Lamont School of
Music. He has studied with Artur Stoyanov, former faculty member of Moscow State Conservatory and currently studies with Angelina Gadeliya, graduate of The Juilliard School, and member of "Decoda" ensemble, an affiliate of Carnegie Hall. Jerimiah graduated from Denver School of the Arts in 2013 with a focus in piano performance and a minor in operatic and jazz vocal performance. Owens will be featured at The Mercury Cafe and the 'Cafe Concert Series' at the Silverthorne Pavilion this Summer.
