Looking forward to hosting you and the incredible Madkoi quartet!
About the performers: Founded in 2015 at the Manhattan School of Music, the Madkoi Quartet has performed in venues ranging from the Cornelia Street Cafe to Lincoln Center to the Chelsea HQ of AIDS charity (RED), handpicked for a private Groupmuse. Composed of violinists Rose Xiu Yi Kow and Yoonjung Hwang, violist Jay Julio, and cellist Camille Dietrich, Madkoi has been featured by the Asian-American Arts Alliance as a new voice in the string world, and has collaborated with Italian men's fashion magazine Uomo Moderno in productions for New York Fashion Week and the prince of Italy. They are currently mentored by American String Quartet violist Daniel Avshalomov. In their 2016-17 season, they will have several world and NYC premieres of compositions written for them, as well as repeat performances at Columbia University's PostCrypt Coffeehouse and other noted NYC venues.
How to get there: The 14th & 8th Ave station is the closest. You can take the A,C,E, F or M, or the 1,2,3.
Please feel free to bring something to drink or snacks to share. Bring dinner if you're really hungry.

Hey Jay would you be able to post some of the songs you played? Other than the more modern ones, that is.
Thanks again for playing!

Hey guys - Jay here, and thank you all so much for coming! Unfortunately the other 'muse I mentioned next week is totally full, but please check out other Groupmuses. We're planning a couple in November so I hope our paths cross again shortly!
