Join us for an evening with a fabulous string quartet playing Beethoven.
Program
We love Beethoven, but we'll try not to "harp" on and on about how much we love his quartets. We'll just play his "Harp" quartet for you!
This quartet is from what's considered Beethoven's "middle" period, versus the "late" quartets (Op. 127, 130, 131, etc).
....Ludwig van Beethoven (1770–1827)
String Quartet No. 10 in E-flat major, Op. 74 ("Harp") (1809)
I. Poco adagio – Allegro
II. Adagio ma non troppo
III. Presto
IV. Allegretto con Variazioni
(~30 min)
....Joseph Haydn (1732-1809)
String Quartet Op. 20, No. 4
I. Allegro di Molto
II. Un poco Adagio Affettuoso
III. Allegretto alla zingarese
IV. Presto scherzando
