Program

Mosa Tsay Cello
Hahnsol Kim Violin
Seohee Min Violin

We'll begin the music with the SUBLIME cello quintet by Schubert, which calls for two cellos. Then, we'll hop over to Spain in the 18th century, and play Boccherini's musical depiction of the bustling streets of Madrid. We're five friends - some just graduated with master's degrees from Juilliard - who are looking forward to playing some music together before everyone disperses for the summer!

Franz Schubert
....String Quintet in C Major, D. 956, Op. posth. 163 (1828)
I. Allegro ma non troppo
II. Adagio
III. Scherzo. Presto – Trio. Andante sostenuto
IV. Allegretto

Luigi Boccherini
...."Musica notturna delle strade di Madrid" (Night Music of the Streets of Madrid), Opus 30 No. 6 (G. 324) (1780)
I. Le campane de l’Ave Maria (The Ave Maria Bell)
II. tamburo dei Soldati (The Soldier's Drum)
III. Minuetto dei Ciechi (The Minuet of the Blind Beggars)
IV. Rosario (The Rosary)
V. Passa Calle – The Passacaglia of the Street Singers
VI. Il tamburo (The Drum)
VII. Ritirata (Retreat)

Hi all,

Thanks for RSVP'ing! Looking forward to tomorrow night. There are still plenty of spots left, so please feel free to share this with friends - especially anyone who hasn't yet gone to a groupmuse or hasn't quite been intrigued by chamber music.

Danika's a wonderful host who makes everyone feel welcome, and I fell in love with the space last time I played a groupmuse in her fantastic home - thanks, Danika for hosting!

C you all tomorrow! (Because, Schubert cello quintet is in C major...)

Cheers,
Mosa
