We have all been off on summer adventure - from Canada and Switzerland to the Sierras and the Idaho Eclipse - and while traveling the world has been wonderful, we are excited to be back home. And what better way to celebrate that than with a groupmuse!
What's the music?
Hey there Music Lovers,
Come on out and join us as we present a couple of works in an underappreciated instrumentation, the string trio! Dropping an instrument means we all get more to do to fill in the gaps, so you'll get to see us get a little acrobatic on these jams. Plus, there will be viola melodies! No kidding, like, kind of a lot of them!
We'll be playing one of Beethoven's early works, his String Trio No. 5 in C minor, Op. 9 No. 3, as well as perhaps Erno Dohnanyi's most famous piece, his Serenade for String Trio, Op. 10, one of the best in the genre. Let's boogie!
