Hello, Groupmusers! I'll be hosting and playing this one. I've put together a program of Mozart's solo piano music, and I'm playing it on a fortepiano.

MORE ABOUT THE FORTEPIANO:
'Fortepiano', aka early piano, aka, period piano, refers to any piano that pre-dates the modern piano. They're usually smaller and quite a bit different in sound quality. Music of the past often comes across very different on the fortepiano.

My fortepiano is a copy of a historic instrument of the type Mozart himself would have known and played, so you'll get to hear his music as he would have heard it. Very exciting!

What's the music?

Thomas Foster Harpsichordist, Pianist

Mozart:

Rondo in A minor
Variations on "Ah vous dirai-je maman"
Fantasia in D minor
Sonata in F major

Hey, everyone! Regarding parking for this evening: there is 2-hour street parking on Beacon St on the opposite side from my place. The side streets in the vicinity are mostly in Cambridge, so you'd need a permit. I've heard parking on Somerville Ave is easier than Beacon, and last resort, the Star Market lot just down the street is usually pretty empty and unmonitored.
