Join us for our first Groupmuse of the new year! We are grateful to have two very special houseguests from the Great Plains, and to fete their visit we've invited the harp & cello duo "Strange Interlude" to fill our space with Songs for the Journey. We'll hear compositions inspired by the travels of their composers, and music that will help spark your own wanderlust.
Please bring a friendly attitude, warm spirit, and a tasty libation to share, and don't forget AT LEAST $10 to pay our talented performers for their time and art. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns, and we'll see you there!
What's the music?
Granville Bantock: Pibroch
Heitor Villa-Lobos: Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5. Aria, Distribuçào de flôres, O Canto do Cisne Negro
Daniel Lemer: Lone Tree Music
-break-
Gabriel Faure: Après un Rêve, Barcarolle, Sicilienne
