This is a groupmuse

A live concert in a living room, backyard, or another intimate space. They're casual and friendly, hosted by community members.

Host

I've got a new apartment which is almost like a mini concert hall with high ceilings and large windows. I've enjoyed numerous Groupmuses in the last month and am looking forward to hosting for the first time.

In the first half of the program, classical guitar phenom Colin Fullerton will play pieces by Tárrega, Granados and Bach. In the second half Colin will play modern pieces by South American composers Antonio Lauro and Egberto Gismonti. The last piece is by Benjamin Britten, with a nod to Renaissance lutenist John Dowland.

What's the music?

J.S. Bach: Prelude BWV 999

Bach: Lute Suite BWV 1006a

-Intermission-

Two South American Pieces -
Antonio Lauro: Registro
Egberto Gismonti: Agua e Vinho

Benjamin Britten: Nocturnal After John Dowland
