Najette Abouelhadi and Thomas Swain perform an afternoon of music for Cello and Voice. From Bach, to Puccini, completely different styles and eras, music that possesses an unspeakable beauty.

BIOS: Cellist Najette Abouelhadi performs as an orchestral and chamber musician in the US and abroad. In recent seasons she has appeared in her native Boston as well as in Italy, Canada, Korea, California, and diverse cities along the East Coast, especially in Baltimore, where she now resides. Her all-embracing repertoire ranges from classical favorites to adventurous new works. She has been principal cellist in Baltimore-based Symphony No. 1, Peabody Concert Orchestra, and the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, CA. She was a founding member of the Adorno String Quartet, selected for public masterclasses, and performances by invitation from the Charleston Symphony League, as well as the Beethoven Institute in New York City. She has performed in concert with David Daniels, Denyce Graves, Marina Piccinini, and other great musicians of our time.

Thomas Swain grew up in Denver, CO. where he began singing in a church choir at the age of four. He has had many wonderful opportunities to travel around the globe performing in operas and recitals. This Spring, Thomas will be featured as Rinuccio in the Peabody Opera Theatre's production of Gianni Schicchi. He has also been a part of many other productions such as Le Doyen De Faculte in Cendrillon, by Massenet, Monastatos in Papageno, by Mozart, Il Soldato in L’Incorazionne di Poppea, by Monteverdi, and Candide in Bernstein and Friends. He also attended the Oberlin In Italy Summer festival where is covered Orfeo in L’Orfeo by Monteverdi.
