We look forward to hosting this dynamic violin and cello duo in our living room. It will be a great way to spend a late afternoon in May! This will be my first time hosting through Groupmuse, but I have hosted other house concerts here (I am a professional musician myself.) Please note our apartment is on the third floor, and there is no elevator.

We have a fascinating program for you this Sunday! To start, we will hear music written by two women, two local living composers, and one composer whose music was banned by the Third Reich.
First comes Rebecca Clarke (1886 - 1979), whose music was described by one reviewer as "splendidly written and deeply moving."
Our two performers, Mia Bella D'Augelli and Lewis Patzner, will present original works of their own.
The program concludes with a duo by Erwin Schulhoff (1894-1942), a Czech composer whose influences included Expressionism, Neoclassicism, Dada, American Jazz, and South American dance.
It should be a fascinating concert! Bring your friends!

Looking forward to seeing you all today! If anyone needs additional info about location, please let me know. FYI: the 38 bus stops at my corner or one block away. Consider taking the bus, Uber, Lyft or Taxi to save yourself time looking for parking. Like all SF neighborhoods, parking can be challenging. Also, we will have some red wine, but you may also BYOB. See you soon!
