Please join us for an afternoon of Lieder and mélodie! I was very fortunate to have met Kristina and Andrew, who are based in New York, at the Tanglewood Music Center as fellows several summers ago. They are the most sensitive and brilliant artists whom I call friends. A few words about them:
Fresh off her Carnegie Hall debut, soprano Kristina Bachrach continues to distinguish herself as a dynamic artist, capable of tackling a vast array of repertoire. She has sung with Opera Philadelphia, Nashville Opera, Opera Naples, and Gotham Chamber Opera among others. Her training includes residencies with the Marlboro Music Festival, Tanglewood, Yellow Barn, and the Banff Centre. She is a Grand Prize winner of the Artist Presentation Society of St. Louis Competition among many others. www.kristinabachrach.com/
Tenor Andrew Fuchs’s wide-ranging repertoire includes an abundance of early music, most notably the works of Bach and Monteverdi, which he has sung with such groups as Pegasus Early Music, Tenet, Artek, The Choir of Trinity Wall Street, and New York Polyphony. He recently made his Kennedy Center debut in Monteverdi’s Vespers with The Thirteen and his Lincoln Center debut in Bach’s Magnificat with the American Classical Orchestra. Andrew is an alumnus of the Fall Island Vocal Arts Seminar and the Tanglewood Music Center. www.andrew-fuchs.com
