Please join violinist Mélanie Clapiès, violist Jessica Chang, 'cellist Laura Gaynon, and pianist Allegra Chapman, four musicians from Bard Music West (www.bardmusicwest.org) performing a diverse program previewing the upcoming Bard Music West festival in San Francisco October 18-19, which will showcase the music of 20th-century Polish composer Grażyna Bacewicz.
At tonight's program, in addition to Bacewicz's Second Piano Sonata to be performed by Ms. Chapman, the program will comprise string trios by Dohnányi, and the premiere of a new work by Mélanie Clapiès (the group's violinist).
