Host
We are so excited to host (and play in) our second Groupmuse! Since moving into the District, we (Emily, oboe/violin and Karl, violin) have been excited to connect with friends and neighbors via chamber music in our house. This time, we're thrilled to host the Patagonia Winds! They are a local wind quintet that loves intimate settings and interacting with audiences with new music written for the quintet and arrangements of familiar tunes. Feel free to check out their website at patagoniawinds.org
At this wind-filled concert, they will play the following selections:
Gustav Holst - Mars from "The Planets" arr. Emily Tsai
Amanda Harberg - Suite for Wind Quintet (2019)
-Intermission-
Alexandra Molnar-Suhajda - Three Nature Walks (2015)
Valerie Coleman - Portraits of Josephine Baker (2007)
Performers:
Melissa Lindon (Flute), Emily Tsai (Oboe), Emily Robinson (Clarinet), Tia Wortham (Bassoon), Jay Chadwick (Horn)
We will have light snacks, but please bring drinks for yourself and to share with other audience members. We will have several chairs and couches for those who can't stand. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. We can't wait to share more music with you!
