Program :
In film - concert some pieces by P. I Tchaikovsky will be performed, such as "Elegy" for string orchestra, "Notturno" for cello and strings and "Andante cantabile" (original version for the quartet), followed by the piece by R. M. Glière from the cycle "12 Album leaves" (n. 3 arr. Di G. Sollima), composer who was born in Kiev and then later has moved to Moscow, and the "Ophelia song" by Dmitry Shostakovich from the cycle of poems by A. Block will close the first part.

The program will continue with Antonio Vivaldi's aria "Sento in seno" (transcription for cellos and voice by G. Sollima) and the following pieces by Giovanni Sollima: the first ever staged performance of the new version of the piece "You know that I love you "after Arcadelt for voice and cello, from the Caravaggio cycle, which Sollima transcribed specifically for the voice of Natalia Pavlova, " Lamentatio " for cello from the same cycle and the piece from the "Journey to Italy" cycle entitled "Bella e crudele" based on text by Michelangelo, (the first performance in Italy of the new version for voice and quartet).
At the end, "Aria" by Eliodoro Sollima for cello and strings will be performed, Giovanni's father composed this piece at the age of 18. As Giovanni says: "This aria somehow represents the exit from the Second World War, my father was a teenager during the war and he studied and composed in a shelter, he had drawn the piano on an old wooden board ..."
