About

We are a group of good friends who LOVE playing chamber music together. We are flexible in our numbers as the opportunities demand. Our first performance together was for an "Interpretations" masterclass with Benjamin Zander in early 2016, and since then we have performed in Boston, Cambridge, Salem, Milford, Stoneham and Quincy. We are:
Amy Sims and Colleen Brannen, violins
Amelia Hollander Ames and Emily Rome, violas
Velleda Miragias and Eleanor Blake, cellos
And whenever we can bring our friend Rane Moore in to play clarinet chamber music with us, we do that, too! So far, in public we've only played the (super-charming) Hummel Quartet, but we've read the quintets of Mozart and Brahms, and look forward to sharing those with some friendly Groupmuse audiences too.
We are all busy freelancers in the Boston area, with positions in the Rhode Island Philharmonic, the Portland Symphony, Orchestra of Indian Hill, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, the Cape Symphony, Talea Ensemble, Boston Philharmonic... and I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting, but I'm tired just typing those!
