About

American cellist Rebecca Rust and German bassoonist Friedrich Edelmann are concertizing extensively in Germany, Italy, U.S.A. and Japan as a cello-bassoon DUO as well as a TRIO with piano or larger formations. In U.S.A. they are performing under the name "San Francisco Munich DUO" or "TRIO".
German bassoonist Friedrich Edelmann was Principal Bassoonist of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra for 27 years under the principal conductors Sergiu Celibidache and James Levine.
American cellist Rebecca Rust has studied with Margaret Rowell, Bernard Greenhouse, Paul Szabo and Mstislav Rostropovich. She has published 15 internationally available CDs.

Music

Our repertoire includes Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Bizet, Haydn, Elgar, Villa-Lobos, Beethoven, Brahms, César Franck, Ernest Bloch, Arthur Frackenpohl, as well as contemporary composers such as Jan Koetsier, Max Stern, Karl Michael Komma, Laurence Sherr, who have written compositions for us.
