About

Serdar received his Graduate Performance Diploma from Longy School of Music of Bard College in Classical Guitar in 2014 studying guitar with David Patterson. He studied Music Theory in Istanbul Technical University MIAM Centre for Advanced Studies in Music and graduated in 2008 with a Master of Arts degree. He also holds a bachelor degree in Computer Technology.

Serdar had a chance to study with many great musicians in the masterclasses he attended such as Carlo Domeniconi, Roland Dyens, David Russell, Hopkinson Smith, Aydın Esen, Ricardo Moyano, Thomas Müller-Pering, Dale Kavanagh, Eleftheria Kotzia, Lily Afshar and Sharon Isbin. He also served as a group leader and member at the first classical guitar orchestra of Turkey, Collegium Cithara Istanbul from 1998 to 2002.

Serdar plays a 2013 Tobias Berg guitar.
