Ayreheart is conceived, created and given its artistic direction by lutenist Ronn McFarlane (The Times Colonist, Victoria, B.C. “probably the finest living exponent of his instrument”) to broaden the lute's audience in both the early music and modern compositions. This lute-centric group also features colascione and a wide variety of hand percussion.
