About

"What a wonderful evening you offered to all of us gathered for the amazing artistry of Francesca and Daniel. And what a lovely presence they bring to their music." "One of the nicest evenings I've spent in a long time! Beautiful music, wonderful people." "Francesca and Daniel were terrific — really professional and yet very approachable. I especially liked the flute demonstration and the variety of pieces that they played." "Thoroughly enjoyed Daniel and Francesca's beautiful guitar and flute duets. While it was obvious they were both very accomplished in their chosen instruments separately, hearing the two weave their sounds together made for a thrilling experience. These two love what they do, do it well together and by sharing experiences and knowledge of their music and instruments, make the audience feel very included. The relaxed, intimate setting provided by hosts Anara and Dave ensured a wonderful evening." —Sacramento Groupmuse concert attendees, January 2018

"To say that your performance with Francesca was the highlight of our Evening Classical Guitar Concert Series would be an understatement. From your first piece to the last the audience was captivated and enthralled." —Robert Mathews, Yuba City College Evening Classical Guitar Concert Series

"Daniel, what a wonderful evening. Both you and Francesca were a hit with everyone. Some of the comments I received were: 'The evening went too fast. I was mesmerized by the music.' 'This is what we moved here for. The music along with the education was brilliant.'
You raised the bar very high for the next performance. I can't thank you enough for creating a program that I had only envisioned. I will pass you name along to a few other associations that I know of. I will look into all three of your recommendations.
Again, thank you and Francesca for giving us such a soulful evening." — Richard Garcia, Club Los Maganos, Brentwood, CA

FRANCESCA ANDERSON has an enchanting way with the flute family. Whether on her main instrument, the silver flute, with its dozens of parts and pure tone, its smaller and larger versions, or a harmonizing double bore Native American wooden flute, Francesca captivates listeners with her skill and expression. One listener summed it up: "The evening went too fast. I was mesmerized by the music… thank you giving us such a soulful evening.” Highly educated and deeply trained, she has performed with many Bay Area and Sacramento Region orchestras and ensembles, including the Folsom Lake Symphony Orchestra (Principle Flute) and the Camellia City Flute Choir. She maintains a busy private studio in El Dorado Hills, east of Sacramento.

CLASSICAL GUITARIST DANIEL ROEST ("roost") has given countless solo and ensemble performances in nearly every kind of venue. His concerts are called “fun and entertaining,” (Portland Classic Guitar Concert Series) and moving, “listening to him, we get the feeling that we are with one of the great players of the guitar.” He earned his B. Mus. (Cum Laude) and M.A. degrees at San Jose State University, played solo and duo with flute aboard cruise ships to Alaska and began a 30 year (and counting) series of concerts at Lick Observatory. "Daniel, to say that your performance with Francesca was the highlight of our Evening Classical Guitar Concert Series would be an understatement. From your first piece to the last, the audience was captivated and enthralled. Your incredible musicality and subtle shaping of melody and harmony weaved a performance not to be forgotten anytime soon." (Robert Mathews, Yuba College Classical Guitar Concert Series). Daniel is Artistic Director of the Sacramento Guitar Society. With private teaching in his Folsom studio, performing and presenting other artists, he leads a full life in the arts. www.danielguitar.com
