About

While studying Music and Rhetoric at UC Berkeley, I played Baroque violin and sang a cappella. Nowadays, I enjoy incorporating my Baroque & jazz training into every style I play. Both styles can be very spontaneous, whimsical and interactive - because a lot of early music arrangements are made for an intimate setting, they require lively and aware players.

I now play with a tango sextet and play rock, gypsy and fiddle violin in various rock bands in the SF area. My favorite songs to arrange are creative string quartet versions of EDM hits. I'm a crazy sight-reader, but improvisation is what I have fun with the most. But both go hand in hand, don't they?
