About

Pianist Jamila Tekalli currently serves as piano faculty at the Levine School of Music, Director of Music at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, and Associate Pianist with the National Children’s Chorus of D.C. Dr. Tekalli is a member of the Music Teacher’s National Association, National Guild of Piano Teachers, and Chamber Music of America.

Prior to moving to DC, Jamila earned degrees from Indiana University, University of Central Florida and the University of Miami. As an enthusiastic and passionate lover of chamber music, she has collaborated with members of National Symphony, Kennedy Center Opera, Ensemble Connect, New World Symphony, and Orlando Philharmonic. Her festival performances include the Banff Centre, Bowdoin Festival, Tanglewood Festival and Mannes Keyboard Festival.
