About

Whether it’s collaborating with Yo-Yo Ma and opening for Train at Tanglewood; playing the National Anthem and Metallica’s Enter Sandman at Boston’s Fenway Park; appearing with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops in the James Bond Concertino, a work commissioned especially for the BCQ itself, or recording the soundtrack for the videogame Of Orcs and Men, this versatile ensemble continuously looks for ways to insert the “traditional” ensemble approach into a variety of non-traditional settings, all the while bringing in a legion of new fans.
The quartet’s first album, Pictures, was released in 2013 and quickly rose to the Top 50 Classical Music Albums on iTunes. The group’s eagerly-awaited follow-up album, The Latin Project, adds more spice to the mix, further expanding their repertoire through an assortment of great dance music rethought from the perspective of “four regular guys” whose interests range well beyond the world-renowned musical institution that first brought them together.
