About

Triad is Boston's Choral Collective, and only the second of its kind in the world. We are a collectively-run professional group of singers, composers, and conductors who perform music written in the last 25 years, about half of it written by our composers. Members share artistic directorship and organizational leadership while also participating as ensemble members. The concerts that come out of this model are diverse, exciting, and energizing for audiences. We love it because of all of the benefits that come from sharing music-making with talented colleagues.

Music

Triad performs contemporary classical music, which, by it's nature, is younger than 1950. Our music is written in the tradition of the western masters, however, and is therefore very much in line with Groupmuse's goals. If we needed to, we could perform older music, but we think you'll find our repertoire both classically fitting and significantly exciting for classical audiences. Our current repertoire focuses on Boston-area composers including works by Julian Bryson, Carson Cooman, Charles Turner, Thomas Stumpf, John Harbison, Kevin Siegfried, Jonathan David, Sarah Riskind, and Karl Henning.
