About
ensemble, et al. is a Brooklyn-based group performing hushed, melancholy percussive music. The ensemble's sound is a retreat from the loud, fast, cacophonous sounds that audiences may expect from a contemporary percussion ensemble. WNYC’s Helga Davis hails Tucker’s music as "beautifully realized 21st century lullabies." I CARE IF YOU LISTEN concludes, "sophisticated pieces reminiscent of post-rock in terms of musical progression, but without all the traditional rock instruments and the density of sounds that they bring. The members of ensemble, et al. hold music degrees from Berklee College of Music, New York University and Bowling Green State University.
