With a repertoire spanning 400 years, violinist/conductor Dorian Komanoff Bandy is one of the most versatile talents to emerge on the early music scene. His “spectacular violin playing” (PlanetHugill, UK), marked by “sensibility and virtuosity” (Musical Pointers, UK), has led to engagements throughout the USA and Europe, and he has performed as soloist in venues ranging from London’s Wigmore Hall to Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw and New York’s Symphony Space. He is concertmaster of Musica Poetica London and Sinfonia New York, and a frequent guest of the Amphion Consort (London), the International Baroque Players, and the Wallfisch Band. Dorian studied at the Royal Academy of Music as recipient of the coveted Marshall Scholarship.
