Julian Tello is a Mexican-American violist originally from San Antonio, Texas currently living in Philadelphi. A recent graduate of the renowned Curtis Institute of Music, Julian is a highly experienced and sought-after for his versatility and virtuosity on both the viola and violin.

I like to program a range of music, incorporating a mixture of standard works, obscure and relatively performed works, and new pieces written by living composers. A particular favorite is forming odd or less conventional ensembles (such as bassoon+string trio or flute/bass/viola or violin/viola/piano) to really expose and engage audiences with brilliant and engaging repertoire and the captivating colors and and sounds that can be achieved through non-traditional instrument pairings.
