About

I am a Gambian/Senegalese musician who plays the kora. I was born into a family of traditional Gambian musician/historians that extends back nearly 1,000 years. The kora is a long neck lute harp popular in West Africa. Part of the oral tradition, music for the kora was not written until the 20th century.
