About

Lindan Burns, born 1999, began playing violin at age 2 1/2. She started the viola in 2011/2012 and is currently pursuing a BM at the Juilliard School, studying with Misha Amory. She is a recipient of the Noble Scholarship Foundation and the Satterthwaite Scholarship Fund. Lindan has participated in masterclasses with the Pacifica Quartet, Faure Quartet, Calder Quartet, Samuel Rhodes, Lawrence Dutton, Steve Tenenbom, Brett Deubner, Nokuthula Ngwenyama, Sheng Li, and Csaba Erdelyi, among others. Past summer festivals include Young Artist’s Program NAC in Ottawa, Castleman Quartet Program, Perlman Music Program, Next Festival of Emerging Artists, and Yellow Barn Young Artists Program. In 2015, she placed 2nd in the Junior Division of the ASTA National Solo Competition. In 2016, she studied with Helen Callus at the Colburn Academy under the Greendale Scholarship.
