Multiple Grammy-nominated Estonian-born bassoon virtuoso, Martin Kuuskmann is a Professor of Bassoon at the University of Denver Lamont School of Music and has taught at the Manhattan School of Music and in festivals around the world. The New York Times has praised Kuuskmann as “amazing bassoonist…dynamic…stunning.” Kuuskmann has eleven bassoon concertos written especially for him, including the 2017 and 2007 Grammy nominated concertos by Christopher Theofanidis and David Chesky. Performances and recordings with many leading orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, and conductors including Neeme, Paavo and Kristjan Järvi, Risto Joost, Robert Spano, Dennis Russell Davies. An avid chamber musician he has partnered on tours and in festivals with the Berlin Philharmonic Winds, Leif Ove Andsnes, Kirill Gerstein, Kristjan Randalu
