About

Israeli clarinetist Avigail Malachi-Baev started her music education at the age of nine studying voice and mandolin. Her talent and unique sense of expression led to a special invitation to join the Kiryat Yam Music Conservatory where she started studying the clarinet and saxophone. During her studies at the Kiryat Yam Conservatory, Ms. Malachi was featured as a soloist with the Conservatory wind ensemble in many concerts throughout Israel, Europe and the U.S. After graduating from the Conservatory, Ms. Malachi entered the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance where she studied with Prof. Ilan Schul, and received her Bachelor of Music Degree in 2005.

Avigail is a long time recipient of the America Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF) scholarships in the period of 1998-2006 and the AICF special award 2007-2009, the New School Mannes merit-based scholarships 2007-2011, the Nerken Scholarship Fund of UJA-Federation of New York 2009-2010, the Rotary Foundation Special award in 2003-2004, and
