The Woodstock Duo is comprised of classical guitarist David Steinhardt and cellist Annie Jacobs-Perkins, who have been best friends and next-door-neighbors since the age of two. Both Steinhardt and Jacobs-Perkins are honor graduates of the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music. While at USC, the Woodstock Duo won the prestigious Gluck Fellowship and as a result performed over forty concerts in venues such as juvenile halls, assisted living communities, homeless shelters, and libraries. They have performed on radio shows such as WXXI Backstage Pass and Classical KUSC Sundays Live from LACMA. They are both From the Top Alumnus and winners of international solo and chamber music competitions. In their first year of playing music together they won all age divisions of the Virtuosi Chamber Music Competition in their hometown of Rochester, NY.
