Jill Van Gee is the Assistant Principal Violist of the Santa Cruz Symphony and a member of the Oakland and Austin Symphonies. She can frequently be heard as a chamber musician with the Nguyen - Van Gee Duo, the Altea Piano Quartet, and the Yosemite Chamber Collective. Ms. Van Gee was Principal Violist with the Juilliard Orchestra for a summer residency in Spoleto, Italy, and toured extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. As a collaborator with the avant-garde ballet company La La La Human Steps, Ms. Van Gee recorded original music by David Lang and Gavin Bryars. A winner of the Canadian Music Competition, she was privileged to perform at the 2006 International Viola Congress in Montréal.
