Spanish Masterpieces: an Exploration of Flamenco Rhythms in Classical Guitar with Jack Cimo
I've been playing classical guitar for about 27 years. I've toured extensively in the US and abroad, and have recorded multiple albums. Currently, during the pandemic, I've focused on producing high quality recordings with video for release on Youtube.
Here's some more from my bio:
Jack has worked with Grammy-award winning musicians such as Pepe Romero, William Kanengiser, and Adam Del Monte. been a finalist or prizewinner in various competitions, including winning USC’s Presser Award and 3rd place in the Sierra Nevada Guitar Festival. He was one of two Americans to be invited to the prestigious Joann Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition in Buffalo, NY. Conductor Jane Brown has said of his playing, “Mr. Cimo plays with expressive depth, great feeling, and brilliant virtuosity. His performance of the Rodrigo Concierto de Aranjuez was a season favorite that our audience and musicians are still discussing in appreciation and awe.”

Wide ranging repertoire includes much Spanish music from 19th and 20th centuries (Rodrigo, Albeniz, Tarrega, De Falla, Aguado, Sor); Italian Classical era pieces by Giuliani, Carcassi, Regondi; lots of central and South American music (Ponce, Barrios, Lauro, Pujol); also contemporary pieces by composers such as Brouwer, Walton, Jordan Nelson. And of course Bach!
I also have done some popular music arrangements, such as Beatles tunes but that is not the bulk of my programs.
