About

My musical path has taken me on an ever-changing journey through musical cultures and styles as diverse as Bach sonatas and traditional Arabic music. Classically trained at Northwestern University, my multi-decade career has now included radio, film scores, live theatre, symphonies and my ultimate love - chamber music. I am a founding member of the Sapphire Winds Woodwind Quintet which specializes in music by female composers, as well as the Silver-Rose Flute and Guitar Duo. For the past 20 years I have also been studying and performing traditional Arabic music on the Egyptian nay, with performances including international tours, and performances at the White House and for HRH Queen Rania of Jordan. I especially enjoy researching and presenting programs on a wide range of subjects - exploring repertoire until I find a common thread that binds the music together into a beautiful evening of music to share with an audience of friends - and future friends.

Music

Traditional classical repertoire from Bach to Bozza and beyond.
Modern premieres, music by women composers, and traditional Arabic music on the Egyptian nay.
