About

Taiwanese pianist Hsiu-Jung Hou, began her piano study at age of 5. Since then, music has become one of the most important thing in her life. After Graduating from University of Michigan with Doctoral degree (DMA), Dr.Hou moved to Bay Area and started her career. Hsiu-Jung enjoys a versatile career as a soloist and chamber musician. As a soloist, she has obtained prizes at several competitions, including National Taiwan Normal University Concerto Competition, MTNA Michigan Performance Competition, and Seattle International Competition. As an active chamber musician, her performances include: International Music Conference in Bejing, Salzburg International Summer Academy Recital, and many chamber and duo concerts in Ann Arbor. Hsiu-Jung Hou deeply enjoys sharing the stage with great artists, as chamber music allows musicians to learn from each other, potentiate each other, and ultimately enjoy together.
