About

Hello! We are the NYC Bassoon Quartet! We may be the only bassoon quartet in NY, but we also happen to be the most fun. Comprised of friends old and new, we are a group of active freelance bassoonists who regularly perform in venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. You can usually find us performing together in Central Park during the warmer months, but during the fall and winter we take our band on the road and play around the city to share this unique instrument while no one wants to be outside.

Music

We perform a variety of music that ranges from Tchaikovsky to Africa to Lin Manuel Miranda. Other composers include The Mamas & The Papas, Edvard Grieg, The Beatles, Sergei Prokofiev, Henry Mancini, Leonard Bernstein, and many more!
