About

A classically trained musician in the oud, as well as both Middle Eastern and Western classical music, I left a career in marketing to pursue a new one in the creative fields. I have mastered my instrument and continue to explore its wonders for more than 20 years.

During my years of music training, I received distinction in Advanced Western Music Theory from the Royal Schools of Music in England and was awarded the opportunity to study for my masters in Music Composition and Technology at the National Conservatoire in Istanbul, Turkey.

In addition to my Middle Eastern music training, I work professionally in sound design today.

Music

Classical and modern Middle Eastern repertoire that explores both the oud as an instrument and the history and progression of Middle Eastern musical "Maqam" and composition styles.

In addition to performing music, I also tell intricate stories about the music I play to create an entertaining, informative, and immersive experience for the audience. My deep understanding of Western Music Theory allows me to bridge two distinctive worlds of music for the American audience.
