About

Marguerite Cox is a double bassist from Northeast Ohio. She is currently a fellow in Carnegie Hall's renowned Ensemble Connect program, located in New York City.

Maggie is equally comfortable working as a solo, chamber, and orchestral musician, and enjoys exploring music from every genre and time period. She is a graduate of Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music and the Curtis Institute of Music, where she was a member of Curtis’s first-ever class of instrumental master’s students.

Music

Maggie is a fearless and exciting bass player whose playing has been described as "stylish and witty" by the New York Classical Review. Maggie loves collaboration and connection and prioritizes those values by through chamber music, working closely with living composers, and finding new ways to reach audiences.
